Ten of The World’s Tallest Steel Buildings

Large steel buildings are always a sight to behold. Bustling cities are filled with these modern structures. These skyscrapers tower over everything and seem to stretch infinitely. It’s a wonder how these giants started out as nothing but bare, unused space.

These ten buildings started out the same way from the ground up. Now, they are the ten tallest of their kind in the world!

The tenth tallest steel building is the US Bank Tower, followed by the New York Times’ Tower. The Chrysler building is the eighth but, at 319 meters tall, it’s as tall as The China World Trade Center III. The Minsheng Bank Building, also in China, comes in as the sixth tallest, while the John Hancock Centre is the fifth. It is a mere 2 meters shorter than the fourth tallest, which is The Centre (in China). The third tallest is the Aon Centre, while the second is the Empire State Building. Finally, the tallest steel building in the world (and the 8th tallest building, over all) is the Willis Tower in Chicago, with a height of 442 meters.
