But it is the people that make London … beyond the incredibly ornate facades of ancient buildings or holed up in a post-war East End council estate, London is one of the world’/s cultural melting post and I would guess that there is a contingent of people from every outpost of the world. They nestle in between the worn faces of the cockney geezers or the Sloanie toffs and although it might be a tight squeeze at times most of it’s inhabitants get along very well most of the time. So I love London and I am obviously not alone as I dare say most of it’s 9million inhabitants will agree there is no place quite like it |
